Since Covid the demand for driving lessons has soared. Many driving instructors are operating a waiting list that is often months in advance. Right now there is no shortage of work. This wont always be the case so effective training at the start of your career could open up more opportunities for you once you have qualified.

About 1.6 million driving tests are carried out each year. Becoming a driving instructor allows you to become an extra special part of someone's life journey.
If you are over 21 and have held a driving licence for more than 3 years with less that 6 points on your licence then you could become a driving instructor.
Whats Involved?
The process to becoming a driving instructor requires that you pass 3 challenging assessments. These assessment cover the following;
A Theory Test
A driving Test at a higher standard than the basic learner test
A test of instructional ability where you will be assessed on your coaching and teaching skills
